Ubud, Bali

Make A Splash At Tegenungan Waterfall. Also Known As Blangsinga Waterfall.

In the middle of a secluded lush tropical jungle, the Tegenungan Waterfall thunderously rolls over the cliff and descends into a pool of eager souls waiting to be cooled down by the whirling mist. This waterfall, although small in nature, packs a powerful punch when wading in the pool below. Cordoned off 15m from the base of the falls, the might of Tegenungan still pushes everyone around like clothes in a washer.

Tegenungan Waterfall is a short drive from Ubud and a must visit. Pay the 10,000 IDR (0.80¢) entrance fee, pass all the mini souvenir stands then make the 5-minute descent to the base of the falls. The area around the falls is like a rocky beach, with bamboo lounge chairs you can rent and even a life guard to watch over you. Splash around in the refreshing pool, take Instagram worthy photos all while soaking up the Balinese environment. Pay another 10,000 IDR (0.80¢) and head up the stairs beside the Tegenungan Falls for wicked views from above. When all is said and done, head back to the base of the main stairs, cleanse your feet in the sacred pool, then walk the 5 minutes back up for a great butt and thigh workout. Sometimes the most magical experience requires a bit of leg burn ;).
